A state of the art secure facility

The Queensway Park Data Centre Campus is situated in central Scotland conveniently located within easy travel distance of the capital and approximately 30 minutes drive to Edinburgh’s International Airport. The Campus will eventually offer 9,5000 sq m of technical space.

Spread across an area of 12 acres, the campus comprises three strategically sized buildings providing a mixture of scalable co-location space and large single end user facilities totalling some 250,000 square feet. There is also scope for bespoke build to client specification up to 40MVA.

The campus offers carrier neutral and diversely routed high speed fibre networks in a facility built to meet or exceed the standards of EN 50600 for building, power supply, environment, telecommunications, security and management. Highly efficient cooling systems will help achieve our target PUE rating of 1.15 or below.

Power to the entire campus is via a private wire connection to the adjacent RWE renewable energy plant with capacity of 50MVA. This is provisioned through multiple paths to primary distribution equipment including diverse routing to two independent transformers for each building. Backup connections to the National Grid and of course a suitable number of COP generators ensure no single point of failure.

Our private wire connection to the RWE plant means we can operate a 100% green and environmentally facility and at the same time offer energy cost savings of up to 25%.

POWER

Queensway Park Campus is one of the very few facilities in the industry with a direct private wire connection to a renewable energy source providing undiluted green energy.

CONNECTIVITY

Queensway Park features high speed fully resilient fibre architecture from a number of carriers providing ultra low latency in data transfer times regardless of traffic volume.

SECURITY

Scotland is regarded as one of the safest places in EMEA to site data centre facilities according to the Data Centre Risk Index.

THE DATA CENTRES

In addition to state of the art data halls for high performance computing, Queensway Park will feature Grade A office
accommodation with security centre, client space, test and build rooms and facilities management operation.

POWER

Queensway Park will draw its renewable power from the adjacent biomass plant providing 100% green energy backed up by 33KV dual power feeds from the national grid to two dedicated 11KV transformers.
